Giovanna Mulas
Giovanna Mulas (NU, 1969). Honorary member of the Giornalisti Specializzati Associati (GSA), Milan. Member of the World Poetry Movement (WPM). Multi-Academic of Merit, translated into 5 languages, numerous international literary awards won, among the most recent we want to remember:
- in 2008 International Prize for Art and Culture Giosuè Carducci, Rome (La Conca Cultural Association),
- in 2009 the Mimosa d'Argento Award - Sardinian Woman of the Year (from La Corte del Sole, in collaboration with API Sarda - association of small and medium-sized industries of Sardinia -, with the Equal Opportunities Commission of the Province of Cagliari, with FIDAPA Sardinia District, organized by Full Media Service),
- in 2010, Lifetime Achievement Award (Laurel Wreath) from the Sicily Region and the EuropClub (also awarded were Ennio Morricone, Histvan Horkay and the RAI opinion journalist Barbara Carfagna).
- In 2011, International Culture Award from the City of Ostia (received by Vittorio Gassman, Paola Borboni, Arnoldo Foà).
- Over 20 books published to date including novels, poetry, and essays.
- In 2011 she attended, officially for Italy and the first Sardinian artist in the history of the event, the International Poetry Festival of Medellin, the first Nobel Prize-winning festival in the world.
- In 2012 he was awarded an Honorary Degree in Letters, an official ceremony at the Certosa di San Lorenzo (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
- Among the Italians awarded in recent years by the Constantinian University (United States), associated with Johnson & Wales University, we recall Prof. Giulio Tarro (candidate for the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2000), Prof. Giacomo Borruso (Rector of the University of Trieste), Massimo Andreoli (President of the CERS, European Consortium for Historical Re-enactments), Massimo Magliaro (Director of RAI International).
- In 2013 the Jury of the prestigious Sirmione Lugana / Circumnavigarte wanted to honor her with the Art & Culture Award.
- In 2014, the Costantina International Academy of Art & Culture, during the annual Christmas Grand Gala, awarded his work at the Ministry of Defense.
- November 2015: in the historic Palazzo San Bernardino, in Rossano Calabro, she is honored with the Special Recognition “For Civil and Cultural Commitment”, thanks to the Roberto Farina ONLUS Foundation (therefore to Prof. Antonio Farina), to the entire Organization of the International Poetry Award From the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Ionian Sea (traveling with Giosuè Carducci). Sponsorship of the Event by the Municipality of Rossano Calabro, cultural association of the prestigious Dante Alighieri Society and of I Parchi Letterari, L'Ateneo Tradizionale Mediterraneo with the collaboration of the Museum of Shells of Roseto Capo Spulico.
- Also in 2015, in the fascinating setting of the ancient Franciscan protoconvent of Castrovillari, he is the Testimonial of the Focus Sardinia linked to the 1st Anthropological Festival of Peoples - 11th Festival of Cultures.
- In 2016 she was honored, at the Elsa Morante Exhibition Center in Rome EUR, with the Donna D'Autore Award for Literature. The Award boasts the Patronage of Rome Capital Municipality IX EUR, therefore of the AIDE Nettuno Lazio Cultural Association.
- Designated to the Honorary Title of Dame by the OSJ: Chivalric Order of Knights
of Malta. - Former director of the poetry periodicals Isola Nera (in Italian) and Isola Niedda (in Sardinian).
- She was the artistic director of the Writing/Theatre courses at the Castello di Govone, Piedmont, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (the theatre courses were directed by the American actor and director Michael Margotta, a member of the Actor's Studio in New York).
